The Local Makery Is Now a Wine Bar in Wauwatosa

We’re excited to officially announce that The Local Makery is now a wine bar with regular hours in Wauwatosa, just minutes from Milwaukee.

Previously, we were only permitted to serve wine during scheduled workshops. While guests could enjoy a glass of wine while taking a class, we couldn’t pour unless a workshop was actively happening. That’s now changed.

You can now visit The Local Makery to enjoy wine any time during our regular wine bar hours, whether or not a workshop is in session. This means you can stop in for a relaxed glass of wine, meet friends, or unwind in our cozy creative space—even on nights without a class.

Of course, our hands-on Milwaukee-area workshops aren’t going anywhere. We’ll continue offering leatherworking, candle making, moss art, painting, needlepoint, and more—now alongside the flexibility of being a true neighborhood wine bar.

If you’re looking for a unique Wauwatosa wine bar, a creative alternative to traditional Milwaukee nightlife, or a place that combines wine, workshops, and community, we’d love to welcome you.

Stop by for a glass, sign up for a workshop, or simply enjoy the space.
The Local Makery is open—and pouring.
