Discover Kinusaiga, a Japanese no-sew fabric art technique that transforms colorful pieces of fabric into bold, textured designs. In this hands-on workshop taught by Cream City Patchworks, you’ll learn how to layer and tuck fabric into place to create your own dimensional piece of artwork—no sewing experience required.
With its mix of color, pattern, and texture, Kinusaiga is a fun and surprisingly approachable craft for beginners. Choose from the available designs and watch your artwork come together piece by piece with guidance from your instructor.
In this one-hour session, you’ll:
- Learn the basics of the Japanese art of Kinusaiga
- Work with colorful fabrics to build a no-sew patchwork design
- Learn how fabric is positioned and tucked to create clean shapes and details
- Complete your own framed fabric artwork to take home
All materials are provided, so you can simply show up, get creative, and discover a craft you may never have tried before.

Same-day Workshop Booking
To book a same-day workshop, please give us a call at 414-207-9474. The website may not allow same-day bookings for some of our workshops, but we can often accommodate if you call us directly.
What dates are the workshops?

Is there an age limit for workshops?
We ask that children 12 and under be accompanied by an adult for all workshops. Older children are welcome to attend without an adult. Wine will only be served for individuals 21 or older.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is fairly generous. Please contact us as soon as possible if you know you cannot make a scheduled workshop or event so we can refund or reschedule you. Private events have different criteria. Please review the cancellation policy page for more details.
