Add a personal touch to your stitching with this beginner-friendly needlepoint lettering workshop led by a guest instructor. In this focused, hands-on class, you’ll learn how to use the chain stitch to create textured, dimensional embroidered letters—perfect for personalizing clothing, gifts, or keepsakes.
Whether you’re new to embroidery or looking to expand your stitch vocabulary, this class is designed to build confidence in a relaxed and supportive setting.
In this one-hour session, you’ll:
- Learn how to create the chain stitch for bold, textured lettering
- Choose and transfer a letter pattern of your choice
- Practice clean stitch spacing and consistent tension
- Enjoy guided, supported work time as you build your design
All supplies are included: cloth, a wooden hoop, your chosen letter pattern, a needle, and thread. By the end of class, you’ll have a completed (or nearly completed) embroidered letter, along with the skills and materials to finish it at home if needed.

If you are interested in a private class, or a special group class, please send us a message and we will do our best to meet your requirements while providing a great experience.
Is there an age limit for workshops?
We ask that children 12 and under be accompanied by an adult for all workshops. Older children are welcome to attend without an adult. Wine will only be served for individuals 21 or older.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is fairly generous. Please contact us as soon as possible if you know you cannot make a scheduled workshop or event so we can refund or reschedule you. Private events have different criteria. Please review the cancellation policy page for more details.
